One Snowflake 3 Cards

Well it's been a couple of weeks now since Christmas and I thought that it would be nice to send out some thank you notes to our family for their wonderful gifts that our boys received this Christmas.

I have always liked the 'thank you Snow much' sentiment and I love snowflakes too so I thought that I would make some pretty cards this year.

I recently got a new Cricut machine and I thought it would be nice to use the Cricut markers for the sentiments and an image from the Winter Lace Cricut cartridge. I used one snowflake image for all three cards.

I also decided to use my Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder on one of the cards for snowflakes overload...lol

The snow globe was cut from a PaperTrey Ink die. The label tied to it with the sentiment is from the Cricut Forever Young cartridge and the background stamp on the small square card is the wood grain background stamp from MFT.  It was inked up with the SSS Dark Chocolate ink.

The backgrounds were created with some distress inks, Broken China, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch and a mini distress blending tool.

Now for the hard part, to get my boys to fill them out and get them into the mail!!

Thank You Card and Gift Set

Hello, I hope that you have having a wonderful Saturday, mine is off to a slow start today, lol.

I have not had much time to craft over the last couple of months now so getting back to my craft table the other night was a lot of fun :)
I wanted to create a thank you card and coordinating gift set for our neighbours as a thank you for collecting our mail while we were away.

Here is a video that I posted on my YouTube channel of me explaining how I made the card, envelope and box set :

And a picture of the finished set :)

Well I think that's it's time for me to get going and enjoy this beautiful Saturday :)

I don't know what I was thinking but I was planning to finish them up tomorrow when all of a sudden it dawned on me that I need them ready for tomorrow!!! lol

Here is a video that I posted on my YouTube  but I thought that I would also share it here too :)

I also took some close up pictures of them.

This is the card I made, inside it says Teacher!!

I know that my boys are excited for summer, and it has been a very late night for them (Bobby just came down to tell us something!!it is 10:31!!) so they will all be very tired in the morning for sure...lol

Working on Some Cards

Hi there, today is the 3rd last day of school of my two older boys, so I have busy at my craft table making some end of the year teacher appreciation gifts.
Usually we get gift cards to Tim Hortons but this year I saw some cute card sets while browsing on Pintrest, so I decided to attempt some gift card sets for them instead!! :)

Here are some parts for the cards, I have created a little assembly line to put together the apple on the scallop circle...

It has been a very hot couple of days so I have enjoyed sitting in the basement cooling off making up all these cards. I am trying to see how long we can go without turning on the AC, and so far it's a little hot but good...lol

Over the next couple of days I will post the finished cards :)

I hope your having a great day

A Pretty Thank You Card

Hi there, Last month my husband surprised me with some Spectrum Noir markers!!! I just love them and I have been have been having a lot of fun colouring with them and creating some really cut images :)

A couple of weeks ago I created this card with an image I found from a Google search of digital stamps. I used my new markers to colour it in and I got the idea for the card layout from a Mojo Monday sketch.

Here is a video I made for my YouTube channel describing my card in more detail:

I hope that you have a great day &

Some Cards

Hi there, sorry it has been so long since my last post. I cannot believe how fast this month has gone. Usually January is such a long month for me, but this year is has just flown by. We have been pretty busy this month, so that is probably what helped....lol.
The next month that I typically dread is March. It is also a really long month and it can go either way weather wise. If it is warm it is very mucky or it's cold and snowy. By then I have had enough of all the snow and cold and I am really ready for spring!!! Lol

This past weekend I went to my first crop. It was a lot of fun and I was able to get a big chunk of a mini that I am making for my mom done :) It was great!!! I had an hour and half where I just got to sit and craft, with no interruptions and I got to meet a lot of very nice ladies :)

Over that past couple of weeks I have been working on some Valentine's crafts for my husband and boys, but I have also made some other cards as well.
One of my good friends is expecting her second baby in August so I made this cute little card to send to her and her husband.

This fun little card is a 4 1/4 square card and the fun oven and bun is cut from the Wild Card 2 Cricut cartridge, which my mom gave me for Christmas...lol
The sentiment is from a My Pink Stamper stamp set and the paper is from a pack of paper I got at Costco.

The second card I am sharing today is a card I made for my old doctor. We moved back in the summer, and were luck to have found a new doctor here in our new city. I wanted to send our old doctor a thank you note. She had been my doctor since I was 12 years old, and she had been a wonderful doctor for me and also for my husband and boys.
This is the card I made for her:

This card is a standard A2 sized card. The roses and sentiment are from Papertrey Ink. I wanted something clean and simple so I just stamped the flowers and sentiment and then mounted it on some co-ordinating purple paper.

I hope that you have a wonderful day today.

Two Pretty Cards

This first card I created was for my sister's birthday. I have really been enjoying using all my stamps lately and I seem to look for any reason to pull them out! Pretty soon I'll have to slow down because I really do not have that many stamp sets and everyone will already have a stamped card...lol ;)

The flowers come from a Papertrey Ink stamp set Spiral Bouquet, and I used a Papertrey Ink label die to stamp my sentiment on.
I first stamped the lable with a text stmamp and the birthday greetings come from the Scrappy mom's Everyday greetings stamp set.

This seond card I made as a quick thank you card for a friend. She had passed along some old cook books that she was no longer going to use, so I just wanted to send a little thank you! I love looking thorugh cook books and getting new ideas for our meals and getting some insporation...:)

This fun sentiment is a Recollections stamp from their Fun Borders stamp set. I just used a water pen and some distress in to paint in the bumblebee.
The flowers are from Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge and I inked around the edges to give them some depth. To finish it off I put a little buttons in the centers of the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by!!
See you soon,

Cheryl

Cupcake Thank You Cards

Our church has an annual Sweet Notes concert, which was held this past Sunday. This event is a concert made up of all the wonderful musicians in our congregation followed by a reception of lots of wonderful Valentine's treats. This year we had a candy table and lots and lots of festively decorated cupcakes :)
I wanted to send the two wonderful ladies that organized and ran this event a little thank you card to let them know how much we enjoyed the evening! Here is what I came up with,

I could not decide between two different ribbons so I used both, one on each!
The patterned patter is from K&Company’s Sweet Nector pad. The rest of the paper is from Recollections.
The cupcake is cut from the Something to Celebrate Cricut cartridge, and is cut at 3”. I have popped it up with pop dots and added some glitter glue to the little heart at the top, just to give a little shine...lol
The sentiment is a stamp from the Sweetest Cupcake stamp set from My Pink Stamper.

I hope everyone is having a great day :)

A Fun Way of Saying Thanks

When I have a little “extra" time, and I say it like that because who really has extra time...lol I like to make some thank you cards to tuck away until I need them. I love having them around because we as a family are always sending them out!
I try to make all different kinds of cards so that the person who receives it, I hope will enjoy it or it will be something memorable, a little different than your average thank you card :)

The cuts are from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge and the sentiment is from a stamp set I bought at the dollar store!
I still have this card ready to go ... so I’ll be ready the next time I need one ... lol

Challenge #51 "Hip to be Square" -green & gold

Hello again, I had a lot of fun creating this card. I had just received a beautiful stack of paper that has this white with green and gold in it!
The green butterfly and square scallop are cut from the Sentimentals Cartridge.  I distressed the edge and the middle of the butterfly with my Versa Mark and gold powder then heat embossed them. I also heat embossed the sentiment with gold powder. The edge of the scallop and the patterned paper are distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
Hope you like it,
Cheryl

Sweet Note Card

We attended a lovely Sweet Note concert for Valentines Day. It was a musical concert, followed by the most wonderful deserts. We all had such a good time, and I wanted to send them card to let them know.  Running events for a large number of people takes a lot of work and organizing, so I wanted to say thanks :)
I had fun making these "Sweet Note Cards"
