A Pretty Watercolour Card

Tomorrow is a friend's birthday so I wanted to make her a pretty birthday card. I have not done any  watercolour painting lately, so I pull out some pretty spring colours from my Distress ink collection  and have some fun :)

I posted a video on my YouTube channel sharing the process and products that I used to make this card, so I thought that I would share that here too:

I hope that you have had a great day!!

Aloha Mini Album

My friend and neighbour went to Hawaii with her mother back in February and came home with lots of wonderful stories and lots of beautiful pictures.  Looking at all her pictures I thought I had some papers in my stash that would co-ordinate with them perfectly for a mini album.

I've made this style of mini album before but thought it would be perfect for this project so I created it again, I also made a video for my YouTube channel explaining all about the mini, so I thought that I would share that video here too:

I gave it to her last Monday and I cannot wait until tomorrow to see it filled with her beautiful pictures and also to see how she has embellished and personalized it :)

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend!!

A Hello Spring Card :)

It has turned into a cold and rainy day here in Eastern Ontario, more of a true spring day!! I am much happier having the rain instead of more snow and I am so happy to watch all that snow being washed away!!!

Today I am here to share a cute springtime card I made using my Silhouette. When I first saw this cute little bird, branch and Bird feeder in the Silhouette store I knew what I wanted to make.

Here are the supplies I used to make this cute little card:

I started off using the image #75488 from the Silhouette store and welded it into an oval shape and welded that into a rectangle.
I then used the MFT wood grain background stamp to create the wood grain design. I used my Versa Mark ink and some black Martha Stewart embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment which was from Obsession Impression stamp  on to the front of the card. I used some Tumbled Glass Distress ink to daub some clouds onto card behind the bird and then glued all my pieces into place.

Here is a video that I posted on my YouTube channel describing this spring card and my super hero card from my last post:

Super Boy Card

It seems like I am forever needing masculine cards, for our boys, our nephews or their friends. I don't seem to make as many masculine cards as I do feminine cards so when I saw a superhero image in the Silhouette store I was excited to get it and create a really fun card!!!

This is the super hero image and the city building that I got for my card:

and here is the card that I created:

and the supplies that I used:

To create this card I cut out the super boy, city buildings and the speech bubbles using my silhouette.
For the background I used three colours of Distress Inks, Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans. I used my distress tool and went from the lightest to darkest.
I added some Glossy accents to the super boys eyes, his star and to the city's windows. For the sentiment I used a My Pink Stamper stamp from the Boy Crazy stamp set to finish off this cute little card  :)

Some Sunday Fun!!

What a weird weather day we've had today!  (I feel so Canadian opening with the weather...lol) It started off dark and snowing this morning, big beautiful flakes that inspired me to listen to Christmas music (and I would've too if I didn't think that my family would kill me..lol) and then we ended with the most beautiful sun this afternoon and evening. We even had light in the sky at 7:30 PM today thanks to daylight savings!
I am also happy because this week's low is projected to be 0 Celsius!! We might get our sidewalk back and begin to defrost...lol

Over the last couple of days including today I have had some nice crafty time down in my craft room! I have had some time to create some projects that I have planned for a while now and I am looking forward to sharing them with you over the next couple of days :).

Today I am sharing some cute little Tiddly Inks digital downloads that I have coloured in with my Spectrum Noir markers.
I have begun to think ahead for spring and these two cute little images are ready to go for some upcoming cards that I would like to make for my sister and friend.

Here are the coloured images and the markers I used for each:

I hope that you've had a nice Sunday and

A Fun Sketch Card

This week I went through all my stamps that I have and decided to pull out some of my old favourites to make a cute card for my niece. I had fun going through all that I have and seeing all my old stamps, it really makes me appreciate having  all of them!!

I decided to use two stamp sets from Papertrey ink, Heart to Heart #6 and Think Big Favorites #15 for my card .
I am participating the in the Make It Monday challenge: Doodling With Stamps on the Papertrey ink blog Capture the Moment. I stamped out all the images for the card including the sun cut from a coordinating die and then traced around the outer edges with a pencil to create the doodled look for the card.

Here is the card I created:

This technique was a lot of fun to try and I think that the card turned out so cute, I will be trying this again for sure!!
