My Last March Card for 2012

Tomorrow is my best friend Debra’s Birthday!!! We are going over to her house I think tomorrow night for a pot luck dinner, at her niece’s request.  I still have not decided what to bring...hummm
I have been crafting this afternoon and made her a card which we will bring over tomorrow so I thought I would share it with you first.  She is not someone who reads my blog regularly so I don’t feel worried about her seeing it early! She live 4 doors down from me so if she pops in I’ll have to hide it. I’m not so worried about her card as much as her present which her husband is hiding over here!

The beautiful flowers and leaves for this card have been stamped from the Papertrey Ink stamp set Spiral Bouquet. The sentiment on the outside of the card is from a My Pink Stamper, Flowers and Friendship. The birthday sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms stamp set Everyday Greetings. The scallop that the purple flower is stamped on is cut from Elegant Edges.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

A Quick Congratulations

Two of my good friends became engaged about three weeks ago! We are so happy for them and excited for their wedding which will be this summer out east. I wanted to send them a congratulations card and this is what I came up with:

This card is a little darker than something I would normally make but I wanted to go with a black and white theme. My friend loves sapphires so that is what she got on her ring with clusters of diamonds all around it. Her ring is so beautiful and very unique, so I wanted to make it for the front of their card!

This image was cut twice and is from the Wild Cards Cricut cartridge. There is wedding band that is also cut in this image, so I just cut it off. The first cut was in blue and the second was in white, and on the white layer I cut away the diamond as well.

All the paper is from Recollections and the black background paper was embossed with the Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots. To finish of the ring I added white glitter glue to the white band of her ring and Glossy Accents to her sapphire.
The stamp is from the Scrappy moms Everyday Greetings stamp set.

I hope everyone is having a great day...

My Winter Blues Card

I organized the Winter Blues Card Swap this year and we 7 people who participated. We each made 6 cards to mail out to the other members of the swap.
I wanted to make something bright and cheerful to send out to the other members of the group. Here is what I came up with :)

I used a Stampin Up flower from the Simply Soft stamp set. I panted it with some Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. I then distressed around the flowers with some Faded Jean Distress Ink.

I hope everyone is having a great day...
