A Fun Way of Saying Thanks

When I have a little “extra" time, and I say it like that because who really has extra time...lol I like to make some thank you cards to tuck away until I need them. I love having them around because we as a family are always sending them out!
I try to make all different kinds of cards so that the person who receives it, I hope will enjoy it or it will be something memorable, a little different than your average thank you card :)

The cuts are from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge and the sentiment is from a stamp set I bought at the dollar store!
I still have this card ready to go ... so I’ll be ready the next time I need one ... lol

Happy 7th Birthday

My niece turns 7 today! With the weather being so hot outside I thought that I would make her a fun summertime card.  I thought that one scoop of ice cream for each year and a matching envelope would be really fun:)

The card is an A9 card which is an 11 ½ by 8 ½ folded in half. The envelope was made with my Martha Stewart score board. The paper is double sided and from Costco.
The cuts are from the Simply Charmed, Song Bird and From My Kitchen Cricut cartridges.
Two of the scoops of ice cream have been embossed with my Cuttlebug and two have been glittered up!

This card was a lot of fun to make,

Two Special Cards

These cards are for two special people in my life: a good friend and my loving husband :)

~The first card is for a friend who has been going through a rough patch over the last while. She has been experiencing  a lot of ongoing stress and has just come to the end of her ordeal with a happy ending! I feel very happy for her and wanted to let her know so I made her this card:

All of the cuts for this card is from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. I started out by welded two fish bows together with my Gypsy to create the card.
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and Memento Tuxedo Black ink was the ink I used. Once I was done stamping I used some Inkadinkado chalks to fill the bowl up with water.
I finished off this card by adding a ribbon to the top...I love how this card has turned out and I am really excited to give it to her :)

~The next card I made was a anniversary card for my wonderful husband. On Wednesday we celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary :)
Since I was making this card for a guy I did not want to add to much bling or embellishments to it, so I kept it relatively simple.

The cow is from Create a Critter Cricut cartridge and her eyes have been altered to look like she is dewy in love. They start at ½ inch and are from a circle punch and the Platin Schoolbook cartridge.  I have added some Glossy Accents to them and her smile to add some depth to the card.

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and has been heat embossed with some black embossing powder to help it stand out. I finished it off with some white faux stitching around the edge of the card with my gel pen.

Having just moved I was really happy to be back at crafting again this week! We are just about settled in and have everything almost where we want it...lol
